Geocaching
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches," at specific locations marked by coordinates worldwide.
Ancient Graffiti Revisited
Geocache Description:Previously, there was a cache located here. When we began geocaching, we looked for "this one" several times, and after many "no finds," it was archived. We always thought it was a good place for a cache, so we hid one here again. Great parking - lots of traffic in the summer and a little history to read about. No need to leave the path. You will be looking for a pill bottle with a log and pencil. There`s a geo-coin to start it off. Please replace this cache exactly as it is hidden, or it will go the way of the former cache. Simtustus Overlook
Geocache Description:Cache is located on a paved rural road near a cliff overlooking Lake Simtustus. Extra caution is needed for children and pets. Large parking area available. You`re looking for a medium-sized screw-top camouflage container with the usual swag- no need to get close to the edge. Please watch your footing. The Cove: Mt. Jeffers0n
Geocache Description:The cache is on public land - mostly flat ground with some rock hopping. The higher difficulty rating is because you will be near a cliff that drops to the water below (no need to put yourself at risk - the cache is NOT at the edge or over the edge). The hike is easy but could be lengthy. Because of the proximity of a cliff, please keep any children and pets under your control. You are looking for an ammo box. It contains a log, a pencil, trading items, and a travel bug-dollar coin for the first finder. Most importantly, it has half of the coordinates for "The Cove: Bonus" cache. You must find "The Cove: Waterfall" for the other half. Additional Hints (Decrypt)N 44° 35.668 W 121° 16.600Snpr gur ynxr, chg lbhe srrg va n ubyr, fvg qbja naq ybbx haqre gur ebpx.

Warm Springs Island Paradise
Geocache Description:If you are ever on Lake Billy Chinook and need to find shade without going ashore, this is the only place you`ll find it if you bring your own. You`ll need a boat and sturdy shoes unless you`re a great swimmer. It`s best have stout protective clothing, too. In this unique spot, we placed an ammo box with lots of goodies for the kids, a few travel bugs, and some Coyote Urine so you can attract your supper. You`ll be ready for a filling dinner once you finish this cache.Additional Hints (Decrypt)N 44° 34.060 W 121° 16.461Orgjrra n ebpx, naq n uneq cynpr Decryption KeyA|B|C|D|E|F|G|H|I|J|K|L|M (letter above equals below, and vice versa) |
